About the position

Mount St. Dominic Academy is seeking a qualified educator for a part-time Spanish teaching position for the upcoming Fall of 2024. This independent all-girls high school, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Dominic, is located in western Essex County and serves a diverse student body from various local communities. The selected candidate will report directly to the Principal and will be responsible for teaching Spanish I and Spanish III to high school students in grades 9-12. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree as a minimum qualification and have prior experience teaching Spanish, particularly at the high school level. Preference will be given to those with a strong background in engaging students in language acquisition and cultural understanding. The role requires the educator to prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect a deep understanding of the curriculum, adolescent development, and the interests and abilities of students.
