About the position

The Spanish Teacher at Stoneleigh-Burnham School is responsible for teaching four Spanish classes that cater to students at beginning to intermediate levels. This role involves not only imparting language skills but also fostering a love for the Spanish language and culture among students. The teacher will engage students through interactive lessons, assessments, and various teaching methodologies to ensure effective learning outcomes. In addition to teaching responsibilities, the Spanish Teacher will supervise co-curricular activities, which may include coaching sports, leading clubs, and organizing community service activities. This aspect of the role is crucial for promoting student engagement outside the classroom and helping students develop leadership and teamwork skills. The teacher will also be expected to advise students, providing guidance and support in their academic and personal development. The position requires participation in school committees and fulfilling other routine duties that contribute to the overall functioning of the school. The teacher may be required to live on campus, which includes performing residential duties as needed. On-campus housing will be provided, allowing the teacher to be more integrated into the school community and available for students outside of regular class hours.

Requirements
