About the position

The Spanish Teacher position at Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is a full-time role dedicated to teaching Spanish 1 to middle school students. This position is shared between Pioneer and Discovery Middle Schools, providing an opportunity to engage with a diverse student population and foster a love for the Spanish language and culture. The teacher will be responsible for developing lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction, and assessing student progress to ensure effective learning outcomes. Collaboration with other educators and staff is essential to create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans for Spanish 1 that align with curriculum standards.
• Deliver engaging and interactive instruction to middle school students.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, quizzes, and assignments.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Spanish for middle school education.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

Nice-to-haves
