About the position

KLA is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to join our Aftermarket Supply Chain Operations team as a Spares Product Planner. This role is crucial in managing the spare parts planning throughout the product life cycle for various product lines. The Spares Planner will work closely with the service organization, product support, sales and marketing, procurement, and engineering teams to ensure that the right spare parts inventory is available at the right time and place to support KLA's customers effectively. This position requires a proactive approach to optimize the spares stocking strategy while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. The Spares Planner will oversee the spares plan for assigned product lines, ensuring that inventory strategies are aligned with the needs of current, mature, and new products. This involves utilizing spare demand planning methodologies and statistical forecasting techniques to drive optimal support strategies. The planner will also monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate performance and planned versus actual inventory, identifying opportunities for increased agility and cost reduction in service delivery. In addition to managing inventory, the Spares Planner will maintain strong communication with the Product Support Organization (PSO) to facilitate knowledge transfer and ensure the execution of the best support plans for global customers. The role may also involve participation in cross-functional projects that impact fill rate performance and collaboration with supply planning and procurement teams to design effective supply chain solutions. The Spares Planner will leverage advanced analytics to develop data sets and reports that support fast and effective decision-making in supply chain operations. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee spares plan for assigned product lines to ensure the right spares inventory is positioned at the right place and time.
  • Work closely with new product introduction leaders and supply chain teams to ensure appropriate spares inventory strategies.
  • Utilize spare demand planning methodology and statistical forecasting to drive optimal spares support strategy.
  • Monitor and report metrics and KPIs such as fill rate performance and planned inventory versus actual inventory.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Product Support Organization to execute and drive best support plans for global customers.
  • Manage and participate in cross-functional projects impacting fill rate performance.
  • Partner with supply planning and procurement to design supply chain solution recommendations and strategic plans.
  • Support projects with advanced analytics teams to develop data sets and sophisticated reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years, or Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years, or Doctorate Degree with 0 years related work experience.
  • Strong preference for experience in the semiconductor equipment industry or other complex, high-mix, low-volume products.
  • Experience with advanced supply chain operations, including supply and demand management effectiveness and achieving cost reductions.
  • Ability to thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-driven, independent, yet a strong team player.
  • Creative, innovative, and resourceful with a passion for speed, agility, simplification, and proactive action.
