About the position

KLA is seeking a dedicated and organized professional to join our Aftermarket Supply Chain Operations team as a Spares Product Planner. This role is crucial in leading the spare parts planning during the product life cycle for various product lines. The Spares Planner will functionally support the service organization and collaborate closely with Product Support, Sales/Marketing, Procurement, and Engineering teams. The primary objective is to supervise installed base growth, manage global inventory plans and levels, and oversee the overall spares business for assigned product lines. In this position, the Spares Planner will be responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts inventory is positioned at the right place and time to support KLA customers effectively. This includes working closely with new product introduction leaders and the supply chain and procurement teams to develop and implement effective spares inventory strategies. The planner will utilize spare demand planning methodologies, statistical forecasting, and trend analysis to drive an efficient spares support strategy while identifying opportunities for inventory reductions without compromising customer satisfaction. The role requires monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as fill rate performance against field rate targets and planned inventory versus actual inventory. The Spares Planner will also maintain strong communication with the Product Support Organization (PSO) to ensure cross-functional knowledge transfer and implement the best support plans for global customers. Additionally, the planner will lead and participate in cross-functional projects that impact fill rate performance and collaborate with the supply planning team to craft supply chain solution recommendations based on business data and product knowledge. This position may require occasional domestic and/or international travel, and the ideal candidate will thrive in a challenging and fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong analytical skills and a passion for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee spares plan for assigned product lines to ensure the right spare inventory is positioned at the right place and time to support KLA customers.
  • Work closely with new product introduction leaders and supply chain and procurement teams to ensure effective spares inventory strategies.
  • Utilize spare demand planning methodology and statistical forecasting to drive efficient spares support strategy and resolve issues through root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and report on metrics and KPIs such as fill rate performance and planned inventory versus actual inventory to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintain strong communication with the Product Support Organization to implement the best support plan for global customers.
  • Ensure established fill rate performance targets and inventory commitments are incorporated into the global spares plan.
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional projects impacting fill rate performance.
  • Partner with supply planning and procurement teams to craft supply chain solution recommendations and present proposals to senior management.
  • Support projects by developing data sets and sophisticated reports to facilitate effective supply chain decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years or Master's Level Degree with 0 years related work experience.
  • Experience with multiple aspects of sophisticated supply chain operations, including supply and demand management efficiency and achieving cost reductions.
  • Strong data and analytical skills with a track record of crafting processes to improve business performance.
  • Ability to efficiently deal with ambiguity and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with effective communication and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel.
