About the position

The Press Assistant role within the Governor's Office is designed to support the Communications team of Governor Wes Moore. This position plays a crucial role in disseminating information about the Moore-Miller administration to the public, ensuring effective communication and engagement with constituents.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor Administration's Media Press Clips
  • Draft Governor's public communications materials including Public Schedules, press releases, and other documentation
  • Transcribe public interviews
  • Maintain documents for the Office of Communications, including Weekly Report, Scheduling Requests, and Interview Tracker
  • Manage the Office of Communications Fellows Program
  • Maintain internal team contact list/spreadsheet
  • Assist as Communications staff at events with the Governor
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
