About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at FedEx Freight is responsible for building and maintaining talent pipelines through a diverse sourcing strategy. This role involves utilizing a variety of online and offline sources, including social media, networking, referrals, job boards, and data mining techniques, to identify and attract highly qualified candidates. The specialist will engage both active and passive candidates through targeted recruitment campaigns across various career and social media platforms. A key aspect of this position is establishing and maintaining strong relationships with hiring managers to understand their business needs and job requirements, thereby developing effective sourcing strategies. In addition to sourcing candidates, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will conduct analyses related to recruitment, advising hiring managers on the most effective advertising methods, costs, and resources. The role also includes managing advertising efforts to ensure cost-effectiveness while reaching a broad audience. The specialist will organize and participate in job fairs, assessing potential contacts to identify qualified and diverse candidates for open positions. Leading recruitment projects aimed at attracting a diverse pool of candidates is also a significant responsibility. The specialist will educate managers on recruitment-related concepts and processes through ongoing training and individual interactions. They will provide guidance and coaching to temporary employment representatives and facilitate the assessment and selection process, which may include pre-screening applicants and conducting interviews. Continuous improvement of recruitment processes and compliance with all applicable laws and company policies is essential. The role may also involve performing other duties as required, ensuring that all recruiting activities align with company policies and legal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Review and recommend improvements for recruitment processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies in recruiting activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Two years of staffing/recruiting/selection experience, with specific experience in FedEx Freight Operations Leadership counting towards this requirement.
  • Demonstrated sourcing skills using creative techniques and channels to identify quality candidates, including social media.
  • Knowledge of human resources, including legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Familiarity with various sourcing tools such as LinkedIn, Indeed Resume, Career Builder, and Monster Resume.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with various levels within the organization.
  • Strong collaborative skills to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with EEO and AA programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Good organizational and time management skills to prioritize search activities.
  • Self-starter with a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with applicant tracking systems preferred.
  • Excellent work ethic, sense of urgency, and integrity, with a focus on privacy issues.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information professionally.
