About the position

The Special Agent position at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) involves conducting investigations related to national security, cybercrime, counterintelligence, and counterterrorism. Agents are expected to bring diverse backgrounds and skills to the role, and they will receive specialized training to handle complex cases. The role requires a commitment to protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution, with a demanding work schedule that includes irregular hours and on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct surveillance and identify leads.
• Interview suspects and advise on national security matters.
• Participate in arrests, execute search warrants, and conduct raids.
• Complete rigorous training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA.
• Be available for temporary duty assignments anywhere in the world.
• Work a minimum of a 50-hour workweek, including holidays and weekends.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must be at least 23 years old and not have reached 37 years old at the time of appointment.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Clearance.
• Must have two years of full-time professional work experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience.
• Must have a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
