About the position

The Special Assistant to the Corporate Officer L4 at NYC Health + Hospitals plays a crucial role in supporting the Vice President or Executive Director in the formulation, development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of plans and policies aimed at improving the Corporation's operations. This position involves resolving administrative issues, conducting evaluations of proposed programs, and participating in the development of budgets and operational aspects of approved programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of proposed Corporation programs, gathering data, identifying problems, and proposing solutions.
• Develop, establish, implement, and recommend policies and procedures to improve operations within major Corporate functional areas.
• Participate in the development of budgets and operational aspects of approved programs.
• Plan and integrate programs of the Corporation within hospitals in conjunction with facility/network executives.
• Represent Corporate Executives in meetings, hearings, and conferences.
• Assist in developing reports and studies related to corporate functions, including departmental reorganization and personnel transfer.

Requirements

• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university and three years of experience in health and medical service administration, public administration, business administration, or related fields; or
• A Master's degree in hospital administration, health care planning, business administration, public administration, or a related program and two years of relevant experience; or
• A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience.
