The position involves providing a core program for learning handicapped students in accordance with state education code requirements. The educator will instruct children with learning disabilities using appropriate techniques and materials as outlined in each student's Individualized Education Program (I.E.P). Responsibilities include remediating specific learning disabilities, reevaluating student performance annually, and conducting standardized assessments triennially. The educator will also evaluate student performance, maintain records, and recommend revisions to the I.E.P. as necessary. Collaboration with other special education staff and regular classroom teachers is essential to ensure successful integration of students into the regular program.
