Responsibilities

  • Implement instructional programs for students with adapted physical education needs.
  • Develop and deliver adapted physical education lessons tailored to individual student IEP objectives.
  • Collaborate with special education leadership and other educators to create personalized learning opportunities.
  • Utilize behavioral principles and practices to support student learning and engagement.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree with an emphasis in physical education preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of successful teaching experience at the elementary and middle school levels or as an Adapted PE Teacher.
  • A valid California Teaching Credential (Preliminary or Clear) with the Adaptive Physical Education Added Authorization and EL authorization required.
  • Out of state Teaching Credential will not be considered.
