The Special Education Early Childhood Teacher at Washoe County School District is responsible for providing educational services to children with disabilities aged three to five years. Under the general supervision of an administrator, the teacher will implement the school board policy regarding the educational curriculum and will be assigned a caseload of students. The teacher will administer the district curriculum aligned with Common Core State Standards and ensure that Individual Education Plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented. This role requires designing and implementing effective lesson plans, conducting assessments, and analyzing student progress while maintaining compliance with assessment regulations and guidelines. The teacher will create a respectful and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and manages student behavior effectively. They will engage students in learning through various instructional strategies, including discussion and questioning techniques, and will demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to student needs.
