About The Position

The Special Education Paraprofessional at Littleton Public Schools is responsible for providing individual and small group instruction to students receiving special education support. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• One year of experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to assist in instruction in reading, writing, math, or school-readiness skills.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications within 3 months of hire.

• Associates degree in a related field.
• Experience working with young students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group instruction to students receiving special education support.
• Implement strategies and behavior intervention plans designed by the team.
• Monitor and support students during school activities.
• Prepare and modify instructional materials as needed.
• Collect data for IEP goals and behavior plans.
• Maintain student confidentiality and adapt to changes in responsibilities and schedules.
• Assist students with personal care, feeding, safety, and supervision.
• Support students with mobility needs, including the use of wheelchairs or walkers.
