Special Education Program Manager

About the position

The Special Education Program Manager at Tulsa Public Schools is responsible for overseeing the implementation of district policies and procedures in compliance with IDEA indicators. This role involves collaboration with school personnel to develop centralized programming, including adaptive curriculum and assistive technology, aimed at supporting students with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement district policies and procedures in compliance with IDEA indicators.
• Collaborate with school personnel to identify and develop centralized programming.
• Oversee the development of adaptive curriculum and placements into centralized programs.
• Manage the use of assistive technology and alternative assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
• Three years of successful experience working with students in special education.
• Possession or ability to obtain an Oklahoma teaching certificate with special education certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Education or related field.
• Successful administrative experience in an educational setting.
• Oklahoma administrator certificate.
