About the position

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • NJ certification in Teacher of Students with disabilities and one other instructional certification or eligibility for certification.
  • A deep understanding of culturally responsive teaching and a commitment to meeting the unique needs of students in our black and brown community.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
  • Patience, empathy, and a growth mindset to foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Perseverance and a genuine passion for advocating for every student's success.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in special education or working with diverse learning abilities.
