About the position

The Special Education Teacher for Adult MoCI is responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to adults with moderate cognitive impairments. This role focuses on developing individualized education plans (IEPs) and implementing effective teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience of students in a supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with moderate cognitive impairments.
• Provide specialized instruction tailored to the needs of each student.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and families to ensure a comprehensive approach to student education.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress.
• Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
• Experience working with adults with cognitive impairments is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
