About the position

The behavior special education teacher at Mount Pleasant Independent School District is tasked with planning and providing appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities across various educational settings. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education EC-12 or other appropriate Special Education certification.
  • Experience working with special needs individuals in a school setting.
  • Preferred 3 years of teaching experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in behavior management strategies.
  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations.
  • Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
