About the position

Roseville Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) to fill a district-wide vacancy. This is a full-time position (1.0 FTE) that will commence on August 26, 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, ensuring that they receive an equitable and inclusive educational experience. The role involves case management of students, which includes developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborating with other educators and specialists, and engaging with families to support student learning and development. The teacher will work closely with the Assistant Director of Student Services and will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to cultural competence and an understanding of the diverse needs of students. The position requires a proactive approach to fostering an inclusive classroom environment that respects and values the unique backgrounds and experiences of all students. The ideal candidate will possess a Minnesota Special Education licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing and have experience in case management, ensuring that students receive the necessary resources and support to thrive academically and socially.
