About the position
The Special Education Teacher position is for the 2024-2025 school year at an Elementary School. The role is essential for providing specialized instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support needed to succeed academically and socially. The position is available as soon as possible and will remain open until filled.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
- Monitor and assess student progress and adjust instruction as needed.
- Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and IEP documentation.
Requirements
- New Jersey Teacher of the Handicapped Certificate OR
- New Jersey Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certificate and Prek through 3 Certificate OR Elementary K-6 Certificate.
