About the position

The Special Education Teacher - Leave Replacement position is a temporary role designed to cover for an existing teacher's leave. The teacher will be responsible for delivering instructional lessons tailored to the needs of students in grades 1-6 with special education requirements. This role requires a valid New York State certification in Special Education and involves working at East Main Elementary.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plan instructional lessons appropriate for special education students.
• Effectively deliver lessons and adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support student learning and development.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
• Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

• Valid NYS Certification in Special Education Grades 1-6.
