About the position
The Coachella Valley Unified School District is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Education Specialist. This role is crucial in promoting education, pride, and progress within a district that covers over 1,200 square miles of rural desert terrain, serving diverse communities including Coachella, Thermal, Mecca, Oasis, Indio, and the Salton Sea. The district operates fourteen elementary schools, three middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, one continuation high school, and one adult school. With a growing reputation for innovative programs and outstanding staff, the district is committed to improving educational outcomes for its large Latino and English Learner population. The successful candidate will contribute to the district's mission of ensuring that students have opportunities to excel and prosper, ultimately preparing them for college and respectful participation in a diverse global society.
Requirements
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe) or Intern Eligibility Letter
- Certification CLAD, ELA1 or ELA E
- NCLB compliance
- Letter of Introduction
- Three letters of recommendation from supervisors SIGNED and DATED within ONE YEAR
- Proof of COVID19 vaccination or exemption can be requested
- Resume
- TB clearance (If hired TB clearance must be within 6 months)
Benefits
- A $15,000 incentive for fully credentialed teachers newly hired into this position for the 2024/2025 school year, contingent upon a minimum of 2 years of service with the required credential.
