Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with mild to moderate disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to support student integration into mainstream classrooms.
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods and materials to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress towards IEP goals.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices and knowledge of educational technology.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

• Valid California Educational Specialist Credential (mild/moderate) with autism authorization.
• Valid English Learner Authorization such as CLAD, ELA1, ELAM, ELAS, ELAE, or similar authorization.
• Effective skills in working with English Learner (EL) students.
• Strong pedagogical skills and breadth of experience in educational technology.
• Proof of passing the California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST) or equivalent.
