About the position

The Special Education Teacher SAI (mild/mod) at Branham High School is responsible for providing specialized instruction to students with mild to moderate disabilities. This role involves developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. The teacher will work collaboratively with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the necessary accommodations and modifications to succeed academically and socially in the school environment. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the Special Education Teacher will assess student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings. The teacher will also be expected to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth for all students. This position requires a commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in special education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for working with students with disabilities and a strong understanding of the principles of special education. They will be expected to advocate for students' needs and work diligently to promote their success within the school community. Requirements
