About the position

The Burlington City Board of Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for Social Studies, specifically for students in grades 7 to 12. This position is located at Burlington City High School, which is recognized as a high-needs school. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of students with disabilities. The teacher will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with state standards and ensure that all students have access to a quality education. In this role, the Special Education Teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to facilitate the academic and social development of students. The teacher will utilize various instructional strategies and resources to engage students in the learning process, adapting lessons to meet the unique needs of each student. Additionally, the teacher will assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and involved in the educational journey. Responsibilities

Requirements
