Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction to students with special needs
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with other educators and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior

Requirements

  • Graduate from a Teaching program
  • Current license as a Special Education Teacher in SC
  • School experience preferred

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with behavioral analysis
  • Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders
  • Knowledge of remedial education techniques
