The Stepping Stones Group is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers (SPED) to join our team in Laurens and South Waterloo, SC. You will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. This includes creating engaging lesson plans, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and employing a compassionate approach to address the various challenges faced by students with special needs. Collaboration with parents, teachers, and other professionals is essential to ensure a holistic approach to education. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess student progress, modify instructional strategies, and provide necessary support to help students achieve their educational goals. Your role will also involve advocating for students' needs and promoting an inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and growth.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Special Education or related field.
  • Experience with behavioral intervention strategies.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology for special education.
