Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 2024 - 2025 school year in Gaffney, South Carolina. This position is a full-time, on-site role that involves working with students in Pre-K and High School settings. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. You will collaborate with other educators, parents, and support staff to ensure that students receive the necessary resources and support to thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure effective inclusion practices.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance and progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and documentation required for compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum).
  • Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
