About the position

Epic Special Education Staffing is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher for the 2024 - 2025 school year. This position is a contract role in partnership with an exceptional school district located in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will work on-site and will be responsible for teaching students across various grade levels, including Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Middle School. The teacher will manage a caseload of 10-20 students, providing tailored educational support to meet the unique needs of each child. This role is crucial in fostering an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive academically and socially. Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Programs) tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and needs.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Requirements

  • 1 year of verifiable, professional experience as a Special Education Teacher within the last 3 years (may include residency or clinical practicum).
  • Valid Special Education Teacher credential/license or in process in the state of practice.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
