About the position

GPAC is partnering with a highly-regarded K-12 school in Beloit to identify their next Special Education (SPED) Teacher. This school is seeking a candidate for this full-time, on-site position who is mission-driven, resourceful, and passionate about helping all students succeed. The SPED Teacher will provide a learning experience that is culturally relevant, challenging, and fun. The salary range for this position is between $47,000 to $85,000, along with incentive pay and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to students with special needs.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices.
• Monitor and assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
• Create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters student growth.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current Wisconsin or Illinois teaching license in content area/grade levels (preferred) or equivalent knowledge/experience with willingness to obtain licensure.
• At least two years of experience with a proven track record of high achievement in the classroom.
