About the position

Health Advocates Network is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to provide individualized instruction and support to students with disabilities at a facility in Westminster, VT. This role is essential in helping students reach their full potential through tailored educational plans and collaboration with other educators and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with disabilities
• Provide direct instruction in a variety of subjects, tailored to the unique needs of each student
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure the success of each student
• Monitor student progress and make adjustments to instruction as needed
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students

Requirements

• At least one year (12 months) of experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field
• Valid teaching certificate in special education
• Experience working with students with disabilities
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations in Washington state
