About the position

ATX Learning is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team and contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The Special Education Teacher will play a crucial role in developing and implementing personalized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs. This position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere among students, parents, and staff, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed academically and socially. In this role, the Special Education Teacher will adapt instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, providing direct instruction and support in various academic and functional areas. The teacher will conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress, adjusting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure effective learning outcomes. Maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior is also a key responsibility, as it helps in tracking progress and communicating effectively with parents and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, along with a valid Special Education Teacher Certificate. Experience working with students with various disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders, is essential. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations, combined with excellent communication and collaboration skills, will enable the teacher to work effectively within a team and contribute to the overall success of the educational program.
