About the position

The Special Education Teacher at ATX Learning is responsible for planning and implementing curriculum and teaching methods tailored to the needs of students with various disabilities. This role involves maintaining communication with parents, modifying educational programs according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), and ensuring a well-organized classroom environment. The teacher will instruct both individuals and groups in special education skill areas, contributing to the overall educational progress of students.

Responsibilities

• Plan curriculum, lessons, and special education programs and teaching methods.
• Maintain contact with parents of students and invite them to participate in educational progress.
• Maintain the physical environment of the classroom for organization and presentation purposes.
• Instruct individuals and groups on Special Ed. skill areas.
• Modify curriculum according to IEP and administer testing evaluations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
