About the position

ATX Learning is seeking a qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team for the new school year and contribute to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing personalized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with special needs. This role requires adapting instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring that all students receive the support they need to succeed academically and functionally. In this position, the Special Education Teacher will provide direct instruction and support to students across various academic and functional areas. Collaboration is key, as the teacher will work closely with other educators, parents, and support staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ongoing assessments will be conducted to monitor student progress, allowing for adjustments in teaching strategies as necessary. Maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior is also a critical aspect of this role. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field
  • Valid Special Education Teacher Credentials

  • Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
