About the position

ATX Learning is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers/Resource Specialists for our educational sites in Vacaville, California. This full-time position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special needs. The ideal candidate will possess a current license to practice and be comfortable working with students across all age groups. The role involves developing engaging lesson plans that foster increased student learning and promote independent learning skills. Additionally, the Special Education Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing educational plans tailored to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring that the prescribed curriculum is followed while also adapting lessons to make them meaningful and accessible. In this role, you will participate in the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and will be expected to complete all assigned documentation in a timely manner. The position offers a caseload focused on Mild-Moderate disabilities, and the assignment is expected to last until the end of the school year, with the possibility of renewal. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Current Teaching Certificate.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • One year of teaching experience in a public school or charter school setting preferred.
