About the position

West Hartford Public Schools is seeking multiple Special Education Teaching Assistants for the 2023-24 school year. This role is crucial in supporting students with special needs across our elementary, middle, and high schools. The position involves working closely with students to facilitate their learning and personal development, ensuring that they receive the necessary support to thrive in an educational environment. The responsibilities may include assisting with classroom activities, providing personal care, and lifting students as needed. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to equity and anti-racism, aligning with our vision to create an inclusive and supportive atmosphere for all students. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree and relevant experience working with children, particularly those with special needs. This position is ongoing, and the pay rate is $625.00 per full week. Responsibilities

• Assist students with special needs in their daily activities and learning processes.

Requirements
