About the position

The Special Instructor - Early Intervention role at Classic Rehab involves providing home-based therapy services to children aged birth to 3 years. The position focuses on early childhood development and behavioral interventions, with an emphasis on involving parents in therapy sessions. The role offers flexibility in scheduling and the opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary evaluation team to support children's developmental milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Work extensively within all areas of Early Childhood development, including behavioral interventions in children's homes and community-based settings.
  • Coordinate the schedule of sessions with families.
  • Provide home-based intervention, involving the child's parents and caregivers in therapy sessions.
  • Follow the plan of care developed by the Evaluation Team.
  • Focus on the child's behavior-related milestones, including joint attention, communication, and social skills.
  • Document clinical sessions in a web-based documentation system.
  • Confer with the Service Coordinator and other members of the child's intervention team.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of early childhood experience required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education, Psychology, ABA, or other related field required.
  • Minimum 2 years of home-based experience preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with children aged birth to three preferred.
