About the position

The Department of Art and Design at Anna Maria College is seeking a Special Lecturer in Graphic Design to teach the breadth of the Graphic Design curriculum. This position is part-time and involves teaching various courses including History of Graphic Design, Graphic Design I and II, Typography I and II, Interactive Design, Package Design, Identity Design, and Editorial Design. The Special Lecturer will be the primary faculty member in Graphic Design and will report to the Director of the Department of Art and Design. Additionally, this role includes coordinating and monitoring the department's Design Internships and assisting the Director with other departmental initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of Graphic Design courses including History of Graphic Design, Graphic Design I and II, Typography I and II, Interactive Design, Package Design, Identity Design, and Editorial Design.
• Coordinate and monitor the department's Design Internships.
• Assist the Director of the Department of Art and Design with departmental initiatives.

Requirements

• Versed in Adobe CC and other relevant software.
• MFA or MA in Graphic Design or related Design field.
• Proven record of teaching Art/Design courses at the college level.
• Professional experience in art and design.
