About the position

The Special Operations Community Resource Coordinator (CRC) is responsible for the coordination, development, and evaluation of programs and services that enhance the resiliency of military units and their families. This role involves organizing peer support networks, recruiting and training peer support counselors, and collecting data for program assessments. The Coordinator will also support commands at various levels and locations, ensuring that community resources are effectively utilized to meet the needs of service members and their families.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and evaluate programs and services for unit resiliency.
• Organize and oversee peer support networks for assigned commands.
• Recruit and train active duty and family member peer support counselors.
• Collect and report data for program evaluations and assessments.
• Develop needs-based programming for specific demographic groups.
• Assist in the coordination of family orientation and outreach programs.
• Contribute to pre- and post-deployment preparation activities.
• Implement social and psychological programs, including suicide prevention training.
• Serve as a liaison for community and family support matters.
• Maintain awareness of emergency response protocols.

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required.
• Must have a Secret or Top Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain one.
• Bachelor's degree in education, human/social services, or related field, or four years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of two years' experience coordinating social service education programs.
• Willingness to receive specialized training in peer support counseling and suicide prevention.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Military OneSource and Military Family Life Counselors (MFLC).
• Knowledge of DoD resources and community support programs.
