About the position

The Special Operations Strength and Conditioning Specialist at KBR is responsible for establishing and administering effective strength and conditioning protocols aimed at maximizing the physical performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel. This role involves collaboration with various professionals to ensure a holistic approach to human performance, focusing on injury recovery and performance enhancement.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate and provide instruction on physical training and injury avoidance.
  • Design, administer, evaluate, and document physical training protocols for SOF personnel.
  • Coordinate training programs for SOF personnel recovering from injury.
  • Refer personnel with medical conditions to medical providers for evaluation.
  • Collaborate with sports medicine professionals for rehabilitation transitions.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and training protocols.
  • Participate in meetings to review and improve physical training programs.
  • Conduct in-service training for HP staff and/or POTFF staff.
  • Attend required training and conferences for continuing education.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining records and conducting education programs.
  • Develop training materials as required by the HP program Manager.
  • Assist with supply inventories and provide input on supply needs.
  • Utilize computers and software as required by the HP program Manager.
  • Maintain compliance with local mandatory training requirements.
  • Advise on strength and conditioning and administrative matters.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must have a DoD Top Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Bachelor's Degree in exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
  • Current certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or SCCC.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing performance programs.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Current certification in CPR and AED training.
  • Physical proficiency to demonstrate exercises and hike over rough terrain.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25 kilograms.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior military and/or SOF experience.
  • Master's degree in exercise science, health science, or physical education-related discipline.
