The Special Operations Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NCR- National Capital Region) position at KBR is designed for a highly skilled professional who will establish and administer effective strength and conditioning protocols aimed at maximizing the physical performance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) personnel. This role prioritizes the needs of SOF Operators and Direct Combat Support personnel, ensuring they are physically prepared for their demanding roles. The specialist will be responsible for demonstrating and providing instruction on physical training, exercises, movements, and injury avoidance, which is crucial for maintaining the health and performance of SOF personnel. In this role, the specialist will design, administer, evaluate, and document the effects of physical training protocols for SOF personnel, whether they are in garrison, on temporary duty (TDY/TAD), or deployed. Collaboration is key, as the specialist will work closely with the Health Performance (HP) program manager and staff to coordinate training programs, particularly for personnel recovering from injuries. This includes referring individuals with new or undiagnosed medical conditions to medical providers for evaluation and treatment, ensuring a smooth transition from rehabilitation to performance-based activities. The specialist will also assist in developing facility standard operating procedures, guidelines, and training protocols, including the safe use of strength and conditioning equipment. Participation in periodic meetings to review and evaluate physical training programs is expected, along with conducting in-service training for HP staff. Administrative duties will include maintaining records, conducting education programs, and participating in quality assurance functions. The role requires proficiency in utilizing computers and software as required by the HP program manager and USSOCOM HQ.
