About the position

The position involves supporting confidential and sensitive investigations related to players, umpires, and baseball personnel, focusing on various allegations including performance-enhancing substances and off-field misconduct. The role requires strong research and analytical skills to gather and present information effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Support investigations into allegations related to performance-enhancing substances, sports gambling, domestic violence, off-field misconduct, and other violations of baseball rules and policies.
  • Prepare timely reports of information gathered, presenting information in an organized and user-friendly format.
  • Gather and analyze publicly available information, including government records, social media, and news reports.
  • Conduct research and prepare memorandum on a variety of legal topics.
  • Monitor and develop alerts for relevant court filings and social media updates.
  • Secure and preserve data and publicly available information.
  • Prepare investigators for witness interviews.
  • Review and analyze documents, including organizing documents on a document review platform.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an ABA Accredited Law School
  • Strong research and writing skills
  • Professional demeanor, organized, and detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage deliverables with time-sensitive deadlines
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Fluency in Spanish (oral and written)
