About the position

The Special Projects Coordinator for the Department of Public Works (DPW) in Atlanta will play a crucial role in supporting the Commissioner's Office and Project Managers on various operational engagements and departmental initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Develop recommendations to streamline processes and improve resource allocation.
  • Contribute to cross-functional projects using analytical techniques to guide strategic decisions.
  • Define project requirements, scope, and objectives, ensuring all needs are met as the project evolves.
  • Perform project coordination tasks, including schedule and risk management, and maintain project documentation.
  • Conduct quality control throughout the project lifecycle to maintain expected standards.

  • Strong project coordination skills, including organization, planning, time management, and prioritization.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities with accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Critical thinking skills with effective judgment and decision-making capabilities.
  • Familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to coordinate projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft O365.

  • Full-time position with a competitive salary range of $43,491.74 - $54,418.23.
