About the position

The Special Projects Coordinator at the Louisville Urban League plays a crucial role in managing and coordinating specialized educational cohorts and events aimed at supporting Black-owned businesses. This position involves organizing materials, securing guest speakers, and tracking client participation to enhance the effectiveness of the League's programs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate specialized educational cohorts and events.
  • Schedule and organize materials and curriculum for programs.
  • Secure expert guest speakers for events.
  • Track client participation and manage client registration for cohorts and workshops.
  • Inform participants of program details and obligations.
  • Provide program outreach and manage communication with referring agencies and partners.
  • Conduct post-program follow-up and support for participants.
  • Collect pre and post-program survey data and manage all client communication.
  • Continuously enter client data into the organization's customer management system and complete required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate professional discretion and confidentiality when discussing client and vendor agreements.

Requirements

  • Experience working with a diverse client base, specifically in the Black community.
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Competency in common computer programs and software, including Google Suite and Salesforce.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management and project administration.
  • A degree from an accredited two or four-year college or university.
