About The Position

The Special Projects Coordinator at the School of Education Dean's Office is responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting special projects, and enhancing outreach efforts. This role involves coordinating events, liaising with stakeholders, and ensuring effective communication and program evaluation. The coordinator will work closely with the communications and marketing unit to promote events and assist in planning networking and community-building activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project-based work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google G-Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Understanding of organizational operations and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of project-based work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle administrative tasks and manage special projects.

  • Coordinate logistics for initiatives such as the Transfer Pathways Summit and the Dean's Ignite Speaker Series.
  • Work with the SOE communications and marketing unit for event promotion.
  • Conduct program evaluations and serve as a liaison with stakeholders.
  • Assist in planning networking events and community engagement activities.
  • Monitor program development, timelines, and communication.
  • Maintain calendars and schedule activities for various programs.
  • Participate in SOE and campus committees, community events, and meetings.
