About the position

We are looking for a Special Projects Expeditor to synchronize and facilitate the flow of work and materials between and within departments. The expeditor will review schedules, assess available resources and assist in defining production priorities to meet customer needs. They will liaise with management to report on work progress. The expeditor will work to ensure production deadlines are met by monitoring the flow of materials, components, tooling, and paperwork across departments and by taking action to solve problems and fulfill order requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate priorities with project manager, production supervisor, leads, and operations, informing them of project priorities, needs and order status.
  • Expedite orders through the manufacturing process - from pick to ship - to ensure the panels are shipped on time.
  • Update information, schedules and priorities with team.
  • Communicate process issues and shortages.
  • Expedite internal material flow between departments (Pick, Inspection, CNC/DLR, Paint, Assembly, Shipping).
  • Expedite Rush, Late, and Special Orders and Projects.
  • Other activities as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in production planning, scheduling and inventory control within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and MRP/ERP systems (Syteline / Infor preferred).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
  • 3+ years in supply chain, planning, production, and/or inventory control in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
