About the position

The Specialist (Bilingual) in Purchasing Management at Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama is responsible for overseeing purchasing management activities within the Procurement and Purchasing Division of an automotive manufacturing environment. This role involves tracking supplier part information, preparing reports, maintaining data confidentiality, and supporting cost reduction activities. The position requires bilingual capabilities in English and Korean to facilitate communication and documentation, ensuring efficient operations aligned with corporate vision.

Responsibilities

  • Track, update and report supplier's part information using Excel, Access, and SAP.
  • Prepare periodic summary reports for Senior Manager.
  • Maintain confidential data related to pricing status and targets.
  • Support yearly cost reduction activities.
  • Monitor supplier business alignment with HMMA.
  • Work closely with buyers to access the latest required information.
  • Implement best practices for purchasing data collection and distribution.
  • Write and train others on basic policies and procedures for efficient operations.
  • Plan, organize, track, and disseminate information related to production part and transportation suppliers.
  • Participate in and conduct purchasing-related internal meetings.
  • Implement policies and procedures consistent with corporate vision.
  • Interact with the VAATZ database and manage NAFTA and AALA calculations.
  • Prepare and monitor the Procurement and Purchasing budget.
  • Make presentations to senior management during purchasing-related meetings.
  • Maintain an up-to-date supply base information database.
  • Provide bilingual services including translations and interactive translation for meetings.
  • Administer and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent desired.
  • 3 - 5 years of job-related experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Experience with SAP software.
  • Bilingual ability to speak, read, and write Korean and English fluently.
