About the position

The Global Brand Marketing Specialist for Sportswear at Under Armour plays a crucial role in supporting the Sr. Director of Global Brand Marketing and cross-functional partners to align marketing plans with category strategy and vision. This position is focused on understanding and empowering athletes, delivering exceptional storytelling, and ensuring that marketing campaigns are executed effectively across various channels.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of yearly activation plans including all marketing deliverables in digital/ecomm, media, print, events, retail, and social media.
  • Support the category in writing marketing plans and strategy presentations, compiling necessary data and insights.
  • Coordinate, schedule, create agendas, and own recaps for cross-functional meetings.
  • Manage the seasonal product promotional and seeding order process, including budget management and communication of seasonal stories.
  • Assist in photo shoot planning and execution, collaborating with the creative team to understand product needs.
  • Conduct research projects related to consumer, sport, culture, and social media trends to maintain a consumer-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with partners across departments to develop and deliver comprehensive marketing plans.
  • Work with the social media team to activate campaigns and create unique consumer experiences.
  • Align with regional marketing teams to ensure seasonal marketing priorities are executed effectively.
  • Maintain the business unit calendar and coordinate events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Master's degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience without a degree.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create accurate reports.
  • Experience in handling multiple tasks to meet challenging deadlines.
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present virtually and in-person.
  • 2-5 years of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint/Keynote, Word), with Mac experience being a must.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of emerging social media platforms and influencer marketing.
  • Experience in the retail and/or footwear and apparel industry, or relevant sports/fitness technology background.
