About the position

The position involves maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance on all building systems to ensure continuous operation and 100% uptime. This includes managing mechanical systems, electrical systems, and fire/life safety systems in a data center environment. The role requires a proactive approach to incident management and compliance with safety policies, while also ensuring a clean and safe workplace.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Monitor operation and adjust refrigeration, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
• Record readings and make adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
• Analyze the operation of various systems and take corrective action as required.
• Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
• Manage work orders, including CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
• Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures.
• Perform additional job duties as required.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years related work experience in a data center or critical facility.
• Hands-on experience with UPS systems, emergency generators, HVAC, automation, fire life safety, and switchgear.
• Working knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Corrigo CMMS experience.
• MCIM / Salesforce experience.
• EPA 608 certification.
• NFPA 70E certification.
• CPR / AED / First Aid certification.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• Data Center Industry certifications such as Data Center Certified Associate or Certified Mission Critical Operator.
