About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at Chicago Fire Football Club will play a crucial role in supporting the strategy and execution of integrated digital marketing efforts. Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, this position is responsible for managing the team's official website and mobile app, enhancing customer engagement through paid media campaigns, and collaborating across various organizational verticals to achieve marketing objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test and execute cross-channel marketing campaigns using paid media (Meta, X, TikTok, LinkedIn, Google Ads, Connected TV, Out-of-Home).
  • Manage and execute day-to-day content and marketing strategies for Chicagofirefc.com and the Chicago Fire FC App.
  • Build product and initiative pages and lead the development of interactive microsites and webpages.
  • Maintain optimal website framework and user journey experience (UX) for Chicagofirefc.com and the Chicago Fire FC App.
  • Execute A/B tests of key marketing materials and campaigns to drive continuous improvement.
  • Measure, analyze, synthesize and present key findings from paid and owned media campaigns.
  • Collaborate across all verticals to understand and execute against organizational objectives.
  • Liaise with Corporate Partnerships team for trafficking all sponsored digital ads and internal marketing placements.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience with advertising technology and tools (Meta Ads, Google Ads, Pixels, Facebook Business Manager) and/or digital publishing/CMS management (Forge, Google Ad Manager, HTML, CSS).
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and processes, including an understanding of paid and owned media, search engine marketing and mobile-centric web builds.
  • Ability to leverage a technical mindset with a creative and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage priorities and coordinate tasks to solve day-to-day challenges in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in professional sports marketing.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) design principles.
