About the position
The Specialist, HR Services role at Aston Carter involves providing professional and efficient responses to HR inquiries across various functional areas. The position requires a high level of customer service and adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The role encompasses a wide range of topics related to the employee life cycle, including recruitment, employee relations, payroll, and benefits, while also supporting complex transaction processing and training new staff.
Responsibilities
- Respond to HR inquiries across various functional areas in a timely manner.
- Escalate complex cases to Tier 2 or subject matter experts with complete documentation.
- Address complex HR issues and collaborate with the HRIS team for preventative solutions.
- Complete special projects as needed, ranging from simple to complex.
- Interact with internal COEs and HR Field teams to manage work completion.
- Support higher complexity transaction processing, including organization and job changes.
- Train new HR Tier 1 People Services staff and provide guidance to team members.
- Provide advanced technical support through research and analysis of customer issues.
- Ensure audit compliance through transaction processing and approval flows.
- Manage confidential data in accordance with HIPAA rules and confidentiality requirements.
- Identify and implement process improvements with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to the AskHR knowledgebase and develop user-experience documentation.
Requirements
- Experience in responding to HR inquiries with a high level of customer service.
- Ability to manage confidential data professionally and according to HIPAA rules.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to follow policies and procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite and time management.
- Workday experience is a nice to have.
